Walking home

As children enter Year 5 and Year 6, some parents would like their child to be able to walk home from school alone.

As a school, we feel this depends on the maturity of the individual child and whether or not they are competent with crossing roads and what type of roads they will need to cross on their journey home. If you feel your child is ready for the next step, we would be grateful if you could complete the permission slip below.

The class teacher will keep a record of the permission slip below. Please complete it even if you do not give permission for your child to walk home alone.
