World Book Day

This year’s World Book Day is on Thursday 7 March. Our theme for World Book Day is pirates and we are lucky to have author Simon Hunt who is coming into school to share his new book with each class on Friday 1 March. Some of you may remember that Simon came in last year to read his book Delilah Rose- the Bogey Princess.  Simon’s new book is ‘Bottom Burping Pirate’ .

At the end of the day Simon will be on the yard to sell copies of his book. The cost is £6.00. You will also have the opportunity to pre order a signed copy. A letter for this will be sent out nearer the time.

On World Book Day children may come into school dressed as a pirate. During the day, children will take part in a range of fun activities based on our pirate theme.
